Pres. Obama for gold!
On Monday, President Obama asked on Monday the same question we are all asking ourselves- '92 or '12???
“This is a generational thing. I was around in ‘92. I was a Bulls fan, so I’ve got to go with original Dream Team,” Obama said during an ESPN television interview at halftime of the U.S.-Brazil men’s exhibition game at Verizon Center.
Obama said that his favorite is the original "Dream Team" , but he also says this team with LeBron and Kobe has "unbelievable talent."
“There’s no reason we shouldn’t bring home the gold,” Obama said. The Olympics start later this month in London. Bryant, he added, “is such a competitor, so we can expect him to do a little trash talking.”
So is Obama right? Are we gonna get gold? you tell me by leaving a comment or sending me an email at the bottom of this page or taking the poll on the side.

2012 London USA Basketball team better than 2008?

Beijing or London basketball? This is a huge question being asked now to July 29th. Will we strike gold again like in Beijing, or start another losing streak, like in 2000??
“I think, this team has the potential to be that (better), if we were to use our versatility,” Krzyzewski said. “This is a more versatile team than 2008, but does that translate into being better? LeBron [James] is a better player right now. He was a was real good then, but he’s a great player right n!ow. Carmelo [Anthony] is a better player. Chris [Paul] and Deron [Williams] are better players. I think Kobe [Bryant] maintains his level of who he is. Although we don’t have the center, that team didn’t have [Kevin] Durant and [Russell] Westbrook. So it’s a different team and we’ll see if it becomes better. But it can be, it could be.” said head coach Mike Krzyzewski (head coach for the Duke Blue Devils.
Who do you think is gonna win? Tell me in a comment or email me at the bottom of the blog

News on Dwayne Wade's Knee Surgery
(http://sports.yahoo.com/news/heat-g-dwyane-wade-surgery-160449766--nba.html)
So everyone (I hope) that's reading this will know who won the NBA Finals. ( To give you a hint, it's the Heat) And everyone knows the star 2 guard right? That's right everyone, it's Dwayne Wade. Did you guys know this dude had knee surgery on Monday? And, he'll need 8 weeks for a full recovery! So that means he'll sadly miss out on the 2012 London Olympics!!!!!! The good thing is he'll be feeling better , the procedure only took 20 minutes-and he's amazing. He so amazing in fact, that he played through all 23 Playoff games with the Heat, despite his knee injury!! This dude is crazy awesome man!!

Ray Allen FOR THE HEAT!!!

So in my last post, I was talking about how I know Steve Nash is for sure going to the Lakers, but I was not sure about Ray Allen. Well now, I know this total BOSS is going to the Miami Heat! On Friday, he told the Heat that he was gonna leave the Celtics after 5 seasons (paying twice as much as the Heat would) and accept the offer. Mickey Arison ( the Heat owner) tweeted it at 9:30 p.m. ,Friday our time ( or 2:30 a.m. on Saturday in Europe, where he was at the time). ''I was just woken up with great news,'' Arison wrote. ''Welcome to the family.''

2 Key Players for 2 Key Teams
So if you guys have been keepin' up with the nba, you guys have heard that Ray Allen will probably going to the Heat and Steve Nash is going to the Lakers. First, I'll talk about Ray Allen. (http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/8136250/boston-celtics-miami-heat-ray-allen-feels-torn-sources-say) So on Thursday, Ray Allen left the meeting with Miami and no answer to the Heat about the offer. He is torn between the Heat (1 yr= 3 million) or stay with the Celtics (2 seasons=12 million). I don't know which I would go for myself, but that is a hard decision. But I know for sure Steve Nash ( http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/Steve-Nash-goes-to-Lakers-in-sign-and-trade-deal-070412/?ocid=ansfox11), 2 time NBA MVP is goin' to the LA Lakers (my favorite team). Leavin' with eight seasons on the Suns as the PG, He's coming in as of Wednesday 9:00 according to his agent Bill Duffy.

Hill, 5 years, Pacers
Have you guys heard about George Hill? So this dude was a sub for both guard positions at the start of the season, then he comes off the bench to be the starting PG (Darren Collison got injured) and the Pacers go on a hot streak for seven straight games! And he averages 15.4 points in the seven games! This guy is crazy! Back to the him, he signed a five year contract with the Pacers, now he is a returning to Indiana as a returning star!

So the Kentucky Wildcats is the first school to have a the first two picks in the draft (Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd Gilchrist)..... Bro, i think that's pretty amazing! Anthony even said,
"My arm was shaking and my hands were sweaty. Got up and hugged Michael, my best friend, wanted to hug him for a minute," Davis said. "When my name got called, wanted to make sure he stayed close." (qouted from http://www.espn.go.com/)

This is the best and easiest way to get with the game and talk to new people who all love basketball.
Did you guys watch the finals? That was amazing! Mike Miller did great, but both Heat and Thunder did great. Personally, I wanted Kevin Durant to win (sorry Heat fans), but in the end, I was happy for LeBron, Wade, Miller, Chalmers, and everyone else on the Heat. In the beginnin', I was goin' for my man Kobe Bryant! But on the way to Kobe's 6th ring (to tie MJ) just strolling along to victory, Kevin Durant comes and takes the Lakers out! The whole playoffs this year was bad for me, because Derrick tore his ACL and then the 'Sixers came and crushed the Bulls, then my second favorite team was out. Then, in the Finals, the Thunder got demolished!
Thanks for coming and dont forget to watch the mock draft at 7 o'clock! See ya!
